Imaginative Gourmet is an inspiring new style of light and creative cookery with the emphasis on presentation. It is as much about tempting the eye as the palette and menus have been designed to balance tastes and flavours with colours and textures.
Imaginative Gourmet repertoire includes vegetarian and meat, chicken and fish dishes all made with fresh local produce, organic where possible. Some of the dishes include Mediterranean, Middle and Far Eastern influences such as Spanikopita (Greek) made with spinach, Feta cheese, spring onions, fresh herbs, nutmeg and wrapped in light flaky filo pastry.
Imaginative Gourmet specialises in a wide selection of pies, pasties and pastries which are beautifully presented and mouth-watering to the palette. These include Leek, Apple & Mozzarella Parcels; Gorgonzola & Fennel Parcels; Golden Spicy Butter-nut Squash Filo Parcels; Spicy Triangles with chickpeas, Chana Dahl, potato, spinach & coconut curry. These are all vegetarian and can be Vegan if required. The Chicken, Bacon & Leek Parcels are made with cream and white wine and are incomparable to any other known pasty. They never fail to delight.
Naturally Smoked haddock fish cakes and Thai Fish cakes are always a favourite.
Tapas is a party favourite and often includes: `Broad Beans with chorizo Benaojan-style' - a wonderful combination of Spanish Chorizo sausage with broad beans in thick savoury juices.
Red Pepper and Almond mousse is a starter centre-piece. Made with Agar as the setting agent, this mousse is a favourite amongst vegetarians and vegans.
